Jiyhun Lee, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Jihyun Lee, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at San José State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Adapted Physical Activity/Education, Single Subject Research, Motor Development, and Physical Education Teacher Education from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Her research explores the interrelated connections between physical activity and diverse developmental domains in children and youth with disabilities. Furthermore, she is dedicated to designing interventions that foster physical activity, social skills, and overall quality of life in young adults with developmental disabilities. Dr. Lee's primary research centers on developing innovative approaches, including movement-based social skills programs designed for children with autism spectrum disorder. Throughout her career, Dr. Lee has made substantial contributions to her field, with an extensive body of work that includes over 40 scholarly publications, 6 book chapters, and her active involvement in more than 50 presentations.
