          About Randy

          An early adopter of TRAZER for sports performance, Dr. Cohen served as Associate Athletic Director for the University of Arizona. Today, he works with TRAZER in the development of activities and advanced education. 

          Dr. Randy Cohen retired as the Associate Athletics Director for Medical Services at the University of Arizona in 2023. He currently is the Co-founder of the Excellence in Secondary School Athletic Training Certification Program, Co-owner of the PhysioShop AT, PT, and Welllness Center, and Vice President for Elite Performance & Clinical Education at TRAZER.

          Prior to his move to Arizona, Randy worked at Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame. Randy has a degree in Athletic Training from Purdue University, a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois- Chicago, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Simmons College.

          Randy is an adjunct professor and guest lecturer for numerous athletic training curricula. He is the former Chair of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) College and University Athletic Training Committee. He was the Chair of the NATA Risk Management and Liability Assessment Toolkit workgroup.

          Randy has given numerous presentations to the risk management and insurance association on managing concussions on college campuses along with numerous presentations on the treatment of concussions. He has worked with CDC on education for athletes with sickle cell trait. He was a participant at the 2015 UPMC/NFL Targeted Evaluation & Active Management (TEAM) Approach to Treating Concussions and co-author of the paper that came out of this summit.

          About Jeff

          I began my career in O&P in 1986 where I worked in clinical care until late 2004. I became the clinical director for a major O&P manufacturer driving product development and research with a primary focus on patient outcomes. Building working relationships with several Universities and Industry partners supporting DOD and VA research outcomes.

          I started and owned a Business with a primary focus on third party unbiased functional outcomes to better the lives of amputees. 2019, reconnected with University research colleges and assisted in building the prosthetic research team at ICRME ( Indiana University) while driving several DOD and industry sponsored research. August of 2023, I partnered with NuTech Synergies and opened the NuTech Institute in Indianapolis Indiana. A patient care facility with a focus on the patient performance and functional outcomes of my patients.

          Incorporating my 30 plus years of clinical care with 20 plus years of research based outcomes, applying advanced techniques to my standard of care has allowed my patients to better understand how technology can improve their lives and the lives of their loved ones at the NuTech Institute.

          About Kyle

          On February 9, 2023, while working a pedestrian hit and run case, Tucson Police Officer Kyle Lorenz was struck by an oncoming car.

          The injuries resulted in the lower leg amputation of Officer Lorenz right leg. Quick to adapt and determined to return to full-time duty, Officer Lorenz has incorporated rehabilitation on TRAZER into his routine.

          He joins Randy Cohen and Jeff Denune to discuss how TRAZER has impacted his recovery.
